Nowadays, this career seems to be gradually abandoned as fish in natural rivers is decreasing from year to year.
Res Ronne, an Islam fisherman living at Chhroy Chongva village, Phnom Pen, said that he could not catch fish anymore through using net, adding only little amount of small fish could be caught if compared to previous periods.
He also said that due to fish scarcity, nowadays our fishermen turn to use other tools or methods for fishing such mosquito net and others, and these tools are illegal. He also said, however, his fellows try to avoid using these tools.
